Why
Men Won’t Commit
Getting What You Both Want Without Playing Games
By Dr. George
Weinberg
Why
Men Won’t Commit is a book filled with information, suggestions,
and opinions on how the male mind works, why it works that way,
and how women can tap into that “real man” behind the
smoke and mirrors. It shows how to “tap into the needs”
of a man and how vulnerable they really are. There are four keys
that Dr. Weinberg points out about getting past the illusions and
glamours. Those keys are:
1. Understanding their need to be
special.
2. Understanding their need to feel unencumbered.
3. Understanding their need for loyalty.
4. Understanding their need to be emotionally close.
Why Men Won’t Commit
is broken up into three parts.
Part
one, titled “His Basic Needs,” is in broken into five
chapters and deals with the four keys listed above.
Part
two, titled “Connecting,” deals with sex and the collision
of two different worlds – his friends and yours.
Part
three, titled “Taking Care of Yourself,” goes into how
to argue with your man and not cause a rift in the relationship
in the process and talks about where the big trouble is, and about
your most important relationship, which deals with being true to
yourself and your partner.
Dr.
George Weinberg has been a therapist for over 25 years. In that
time, he has had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of
men and learned about what men (in general) truly want in and from
a relationship. He is also the author of 9 other books and has appeared
on countless radio and talk shows like Oprah. He’s also written
for popular women’s magazines like Cosmopolitan and Glamour.
This
is a fascinating piece of reading that I think will come in handy
to any woman who wants to understand the male species a bit better.
It goes into details that only men themselves could know about their
psyche, and why they as a whole act the way they do. After reading
Why Men Won’t Commit, I am confident in supporting
Dr. Weinberg’s work; it’s pretty clear he knows the
psyche of both men and women pretty well. I definitely recommend
this book. |
