She starts off with the pure basics and does a great job in explaining what each side does and what the whole point of football is in the first place. Get Your Own Beer includes some diagrams of the specific positions and some of the formations that are used in the game. Ms. Robinson Peete includes a lot of personal commentary from the time that she was a little girl to the times that she has watched her quarterback husband, Rodney Peete. This reader's favorite was her description of her Sundays with all of the televisions set for football. At the end of the chapters there are fact sheets which include top 10 players, top 10 coaches, and other little football facts. Get Your Own Damn Beer, I'm Watching the Game is a must for any football fan, including the guys. This guide is geared towards women who are new to the game and want to impress their men but every football fan will learn something in this book. |
