QGE=A:
Quality Education is the Answer

by Win Straube

      Win Straube's QGE=A: Quality Education is the Answer is an informative, educational book, very important to our times. It is well-researched and fact-based and includes a very helpful, comprehensive Appendix.

QGE=A is an educational renewal guide book. This book lays out the factors which influence education and those which hinder its improvement. It is written in a clear, easy-to-understand format and comes highly recommended.

The first part of the book looks at the various levels of educational institutions, and Win Straube gives a broader view of what can be accomplished within and outside of the traditional educational institution.

Education is an industry and should be considered as such. Costs need to be checked against performance, and resources applied where they will produce the best results. Currently our educational system is convoluted, expensive, and offers no guarantee that growing costs will result in better learning. We need an education renewal - and this book outlines a plan for just that.

This book looks back to when teaching began and questions the forms and methods that are in use today. Education costs are running rampant, and the standards for what is considered adequate education are getting lower. Our educational facilities are designed to dispense as much knowledge as possible in the least possible amount of time to the largest possible audience. But different brains process information differently, and the one-size-fits-all method of teaching is ineffective for many.

There are reasons eighteen-year-olds are graduating from U.S. public high schools when they are still illiterate. This non-education is being provided at higher and higher cost. Lack of education will bring disaster, not only to the individuals involved and their families, but ultimately to the nation as a whole.

"Generic Education" is part of the fundamental education one needs to grow up as a self-sustaining and competent individual. This is material presented in its generic form without the influence of ideologies. Generic is cheaper, yet contains all the necessary ingredients.

Generic Education can be taught and learned anywhere, because it is free from cultural or political baggage. Generic Education covers the subjects needed to function and contribute in the 21st century, anywhere.
