Stargate SG-1
The Ultimate Visual Guide
by Kathleen Ritter
One film and ten seasons... Stargate SG-1 is one of the success stories of TV history. Though fans now have
to be content with just its spin-off, Atlantis, we can relive the great days with this handsome book and
DVD set.
Packed full with color photos and information, this is surely the book your coffee table has been waiting for,
especially if it faces the TV. Find out all about the characters (not the actors, the characters) and their
histories, the planets visited, the villains fought, and the technology used on both sides. Each season gets a
few pages to itself, with pictures of season highlights and a brief overview of what happened.
This is not an in-depth guide to anything, but a Yearbook (ten-year book) with lots of glossy pictures that
you and any guests will keep dipping into at odd moments. The DVD is the same, and a nice addition, as this is a
film/TV series, and it is surely fitting that part of the information can be watched on a screen. The book is
also a great memento of this phenomenal show and probably will appreciate in value if people don’t completely
forget about the show as soon as it goes off air. (When did you last hear anybody mention the X-Files?)
In the meantime, here is a great gift for the Stargate fan in your life (possibly yourself) and a very attractive
book. |
