Gale Grayson and her daughter Katie Pru have returned to Gale's hometown, Statlers Cross, Georgia, to live with her grandmother. While there, Gale is writing a memoir about her relationship with her husband who turned out to be a terrorist and a murd erer. Staying at the house is Gale's friend Nadianna and her child. Also visiting is Daniel Halford, a chief inspector with Scotland Yard who Gale met during the investigation of her husband.
A car is found in the woods containing three dead men; two locals and a Vietnamese who was tortured before he died. Gale gets involved due to the relationship of one of the local men with her grandmother.
I enjoyed this book as much as the other three
in the series and could not put it down once I started. Gale is one of my favorite
characters and I look forward to each new book.
