Iron sculptress Meg
Langslow is back for a third outing in REVENGE OF THE WROUGHT IRON FLAMINGOS,
the latest from award winning author, Donna Andrews. This time, Meg finds
herself roped into participation in a craft fair that's part of the reenactment
of the Battle of Yorktown, under the eagle-eyed supervision of Mrs. Waterston,
the Napoleonic mother of Meg's boyfriend, Michael. While Meg mans a booth
of her iron art and keeps an eye out for anachronisms that might spoil
the effect of the 18th century atmosphere, she also winds up being at
the center of a murder investigation when a man is found dead in her storage
area.
REVENGE OF THE WROUGHT
IRON FLAMINGOS maintains the same light air as its two predecessors, MURDER
WITH PEACOCKS and MURDER WITH PUFFINS. Meg's zany family--and it seems
she's related to almost everyone in Yorktown--adds enough eccentricity
to make Morticia and Gomez Addams proud. This is a soft-boiled book perfectly
suited for those who prefer humor and romance to coptalk, blood and gore.
Fans of Ms. Andrews will surely find that FLAMINGOS adds another feather
to her cap.
