Isn’t that just the case! You try to plan a vacation to escape the insanity and all hell breaks loose!  And leave it to Murphy’s Law and long lost relatives to show up when they are least expected or wanted.  Just as Jane is planning a much-needed time out, her late husband’s niece arrives. Stephanie is moving to Jane’s comfortable little town with a new publishing house, but things are not so comfortable when the first homeless person arrives to take up begging around the businesses. Even worse homes are being robbed and bodies are found floating and hanging around. Where’s that travel brochure!

Now here is an engaging series; book business and mayhem make for a winning combination. Jane is a widowed, literary agent who lives with a son, a nanny, and a cat with the instinct to drop the other paw just when it’s needed. Evan Marshall is fast becoming an expert at setting up some hard to solve mysteries. This one was a great mystery ride with some impressive twists and turns and, for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out who the bad guy was until it was revealed. I heartily recommend the series and that readers start it from the beginning.
