A well-written story that it based around the mystery of people dying from a mysterious heart disease. The patients who contract this disease come in with flu symptoms, get better, then their hearts rapidly fail their bodies. Dr. Steve McKay has an involvement with each patient who has this mysterious disease. Luckily for McKay, there is a woman, Lisa, who stands by his side throughout all the bureaucratic red tape that he has to endure. Unfortunately, McKay is married to another woman and Lisa is married to another man. This romantic relationship adds an interesting twist to the story.

This story starts out really well, starts dragging in the middle, and picks back up near the end. It dragged when the number of cases increased and no one could find a reason why. The ending was interesting as to how people got sick. It was also interesting to see what happens with Steve and Lisa.
