Imagine planning a wedding where there is a murder immediately following the ceremony. Carnegie Kincaid is a wedding planner who tries to solve a murder and kidnapping in order to stay in business. Of course, down the road, she gets fired by the mother of a wealthy bride-to-be because Carnegie seems to be interfering. She gets in a huge fight with her business partner and her business seems to be about to go down the tubes. In the midst of all of this, Carnegie also finds time for romance.

The setting is well developed and there are plenty of suspects to keep the reader guessing. The reader feels sympathy for Carnegie because of the great development of her character and descriptions of the action going on around her. The plot of is not rushed and there is plenty of additional action that keeps the reader entertained.
Veiled Threats is a good, classic cozy mystery.
