A Buried Lie
By Roberta Isleib

Cassie Burdette is given the chance to play in the ShopRite LPGA classic golf tour. The opportunity comes after several scheduled golfers become ill. Perhaps this should have served as a portent of things to follow. Her first chance to play as a pro is marred by the death of fellow female golfer, Erica LeBoutillier. Erica's co-workers at Meditron Pharmaceuticals seem to accept her death as a suicide, but Cassie is suspicious. She begins her own investigation into Erica's demise, even though authorities believe that there is no reason to look beyond the obvious. Cassie is determined to see her investigation through, but someone else has decided that she must be stopped at all costs.

Roberta Isleib has written an interesting, compelling mystery that will keep you guessing. Golf terms, explained in the glossary at the beginning of the book, help the "non-golfer" from being sidelined by the terminology. This is a well-written novel that will hold the interest of any reader. A definite "hole-in-one!"
