Icing
Ivy
A Jane Stuart and Winky Mystery
By Evan
Marshall
In this
fourth offering in the Jane Stuart and Winky Mystery series, literary
agent Jane Stuart finds herself at a retreat for writers. Surrounded
by an odd assortment of characters, including successful authors,
along with others who are looking for their first big break, Jane
is surprised by a visit from her old friend, Ivy Benson.
Ivy
and Jane parted ways after the death of Ivy's daughter, Marlene.
Ivy wants to make things right with her former friend, but the reunion
is cut short when Ivy is found dead in her room, stabbed with an
ice pick. At first, Jane suspects Ivy's shady new boyfriend, Johnny,
but he's nowhere to be found. A blizzard leaves the entire group
snowbound and Jane begins to suspect that Johnny may not have murdered
Ivy after all. Was Ivy tied to someone else who is caged inside
the remote lodge, unable to escape? Why would someone want Ivy dead?
Jane digs for the answers to her questions, but she must find the
truth before the real murderer "ices" Jane, too.
Evan
Marshall has crafted a delicious mystery with an engaging sleuth.
Icing Ivy was a fun ride with a surprise ending. I look
forward to more of Jane Stuart and Winky.
