Holy Guacamole!
By Nancy Fairbanks

Culinary author Carolyn Blue is gaining a reputation, not only for her culinary newspaper column, but also as an inadvertent investigator, solving crimes the police can't.

This time, she's up to her ears in guacamole, after donating food to an after-the-opera celebration, where the opera's artistic director, a local man everyone loves to hate, stuffs himself and drinks himself into a stupor, before being found dead the next morning. But it's probably not the food that killed him at all. Now it's up to Carolyn to prove it, and get herself and the other food donors off the hook.

In her book, "Holy Guacamole," Nancy Fairbanks tells a great story, gives yummy recipes, and wraps it all up in a jazzy southwestern package. It rates a PG rating, however, for language.
