Hour Game
By David Baldacci
Read by Ron McLarty

A violent killer stalks the citizens of a small town in Virginia. For the killer, age, gender or time of the day is not an issue - making a point. The killer leaves watches with the victims, setting the time to match the number of the killing. And although copying the style of past serial murderers is another sign of this one's violence, the murderer doesn't take it well when someone copies him. Murders blend, twists turn, and spines chill - its one heck of a ride.

Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are former Secret Service agents. King left the service under a dark cloud and later redeemed himself as an attorney in Wrightsburg, Virginia. Maxwell left to start a P.I. service. King is her partner. While jogging, Maxwell discovers the first victim. She takes an interest in the murder. Eventually, she and King are brought in on the deadly case. At the same time, the two are working a case with an eccentric family. In their personal lives, King meets up with an old flame and Maxwell plays with the idea of a possible relationship.

King and Maxwell first paired up in "Split Second." Both novels are stand alones, but to understand King and Maxwell better, one should start with "Split Second."

Want some goose bumps to go with those chills? Actor Ron McLarty of "Law and Order" narrates the audio book version. His deep voice, accompanied by suspenseful music, will have you either rolling up your car windows or checking your front door. The book has some intense content, so remember those headphones when in sensitive company.
