Typhoon Rising
By David M. Dibble

Typhoon Rising takes place in Japan and introduces readers to John Blake. John is a man on a mission. His mission is to find two stolen torpedoes that lead him into several dangerous situations and introduces him to a beautiful sidekick, Kalani. John and Kalani face the Japanese Secret Service and the lust between themselves.

Mr. Dibble does a great job of keeping the reader intrigued with the twists and turns that John and Kalani face when trying to find the torpedoes. The setting of Japan is crucial to the telling of this story, but could take place in another country where America has had issues with secret missiles and such. The romance between John and Kalani is an added bonus to the readers and does not in any way overtake the suspense of the thriller.

As a first novel by Mr. Dibble, this is one that shows that Mr. Dibble has the talent and the perseverance to become an accomplished author. This reader looks forward to reading more from Mr. Dibble.
