Bluetick Revenge
A Pepper Keane Mystery
by Mark Cohen
Former Federal Prosecutor and lawyer Pepper Keane finds himself more comfortable in the
role of private detective. He takes on a case through his former law office to recover
a dog for a client they are representing. Little does he know that recovering the dog
is only the beginning of some trouble he might not be able to maneuver his way out of
this time.
Once the hound is recovered, his former law partner asks him to help the woman it
belongs to, Karlynn Slade. Karlynn needs protection as she's about to tell the FBI all
about her common law husband, who happens to be the head of a very dangerous biker gang
called the Sons of Satan. If Pepper can keep Karlynn safe long enough to see her into
the Witness Protection Program they might not suffer the wrath of Thadeus Bugg.
This is a fast moving story with colorful characters and situations. Pepper makes a
decision or two that might make you scream out at the book for him not to do that! He's
got a fondness for diet Coke and quick decisions that keep you turning the pages to
find out if he can pull it off. If Pepper has his way Thadeus Bugg might live to regret
owning that champion Bluetick tracking hound after all. |
