The Body in the Snowdrift
Faith Fairchild series

by Katherine Hall Page

Caterer Faith Fairchild has mixed feelings when her father-in-law invites the entire family to spend his birthday at a favorite ski resort, footing the bill for the whole shindig.

Unable to refuse his kind offer, she reluctantly agrees, and makes the trip with the family to the beautiful Pine Slopes Ski Resort. Only instead of a restful respite from a hectic life, chaos reigns when the star chef disappears, and murder and 'accidents' occur with increasing frequency. Someone is sabotaging the resort, and its failure is guaranteed if Faith doesn't get answers and soon.

Author Katherine Hall Page is an award- winning author, and I must admit I was enthralled with the beautiful cover of this book. The story itself, however, was a little disappointing, as it dealt with the world of the rich and famous, and dropped designer names like raindrops.

I found myself skipping pages, which rarely happens when I'm enrapt, though I must admit, the author did manage to keep the reader guessing until the end.

Having said that, let me add that if the wonderful world of ski resorts and wealth draws you in, you will probably enjoy The Body in the Snowdrift.
