Chamomile Mourning
Tea Shop Mystery, No. 6

by Laura Childs

Theodosia and the Indigo Tea Shop staff are back. Drayton is giving a presentation at the Poet's Tea while Theodosia and Haley serve refreshments. Theodosia knows she's created a cake to die for, but actually having a dead body fall into isn't something she's planning.

But that's what happens. Roger Crispin takes a header off the balcony and into Theo's cake after being shot. Theodosia is the last to see him alive. This time she isn't the suspect, but her friend Gracie is. Gracie makes hats to die for. She's opening a new millinery store. Roger was her landlord. The police are suspicious about her lease and her relationship with Roger. Theo and the Tea Shop staff come to Gracie's aid to try to solve the mystery.

Also, Theo and the staff are looking at a possible change in their lives. It all depends on Theo and where her passion lies. Series followers, you don't want to miss this one...

The Tea Shop series is a cultured cozy mystery series. In Chamomile Mourning Childs gives readers tea and art lessons, as well as recipes galore. Childs' characters continue to develop. The setting is wonderfully southern and truly fascinating. And this mystery in particular is mildly complex.
