Dangerous Curves

By Judith Skillings

Rebecca Moore, forced to leave her career as a Washington, D.C., reporter, is running her late uncle's classic car restoration shop. Her workers are delivering a vintage Bentley from the Baltimore docks when the stabbed corpse of an Oriental dancer is found on the back seat of the car. Rebecca rushes to the defense of her two workers who are ex-cons. She finds one is involved with a dance at the local gentlemen's club in suspicious circumstances.

When another young dancer's body is found in the Potomac River, Rebecca is convinced there is a connection between the two deaths and the club. She is determined to exonerate her two workers and to plumb the secrets of these deaths. She goes underground as a waitress and dancer at the club despite the advice of her lawyer, Joachime Delacroix, and her detective boy friend, Mick Hagan. She is in danger of becoming the next victim.

We have a very feisty independent woman in charge here. The story is well plotted with fast moving action. There is a cast of colorful and likeable characters. Delacroix and Hagan are two men any woman would like to have on her side. The romance between Rebecca and Hagan is a volatile one.

This is a quick read which will entertain the reader for a few hours.
