Detour
By
James Siegel
Preformed by Holter Graham
Siegel's
latest suspense novel, Detour, begins with a trip to Colombia
where Joanna and Paul pick up their adopted daughter. She's everything
they dreamed of. Immediately, Joanna bonds with her, becomes familiar
with her new baby within a night's time. When the new parents go
on a walk and leave the baby with a sitter at the hotel, the baby
disappears. When the sitter finally arrives with the baby, Joanna
begins to notice things aren't as they seem. The couple decides
later to seek out the young woman and life takes a very dangerous
turn. A new family of three is forced apart - dad sent on a deadly
journey and mom forced to suffer a terrifying nightmare. Despite
some predictable moments, Siegel offers readers/listeners a suspenseful
trip worth taking. Highly recommended.
Holter
Graham narrates the audio version. The further he delves into the
storyline, the smoother his reading becomes. He methodically lays
out the storyline and patiently sets up the suspense. Good listen,
good book. The subject is mature theme, so remember those headphones.
