Murder
at Five Finger Light
A Jessie Arnold Mystery
by Sue Henry
In
Murder at Five Finger Light, Jessie Arnold is taking a break
from sled dog racing due to a knee injury. She accepts an invitation
to a fixer-upper party thrown by her friends Laurie and Jim Trevino,
who are renovating Five Finger Lighthouse. On her way to the lighthouse,
Jessie befriends a young woman named Karen who is running away from
a man who has abused her. Karen joins the lighthouse party and goes
to the island with Jessie. The festivity is short-lived when a dead
body is found and all means of communications to and from the island
is disabled. In order to survive, Jessie must figure out who the murderer
is.
Sue
Henry's Jessie Arnold series is so well written that the reader
is able to "see and smell" the breathtaking Alaskan wilderness.
The plot of this novel moves quickly and the intensity heightens
as Jessie gets closer to the truth. Murder at Five Finger Light
is a strong addition to the Jessie Arnold series and a read that
I most highly recommend.
