Thicker Than Blood

by Penny Rudolph

Rachel Chavez is running a parking garage left to her by her grandfather. She has little left in her life after the loss of her mother and her father's personal problems. Running the garage and living in a small apartment there keeps Rachel from falling back into old habits and addictions.

Unfortunately, a series of events will tie Rachel to a murder as well as other drug problems. Her past prevents her from going to the police. Her main customer is the water company directly across the street. Events linked to them send Rachel on a detective hunt looking for answers.

Thicker Than Blood will keep you guessing till the end of this mystery. Colorful and likeable characters throughout the book keep you wondering who could be the murderer and is it someone Rachel knows. I really enjoyed this story and found myself drawn in from the very first chapter. It was hard to put down and nobody is beyond suspicion. Is anything thicker than blood?
