With No One As Witness
Thomas Lynley and Barbara Havers Mystery

By Elizabeth George
Read by Charles Keating

Lynley and Havers work yet another case with young victims. The two are hunting down a homicidal pedophile who stalks, torments and murders young boys. The more this pervert kills, the more disgusting and violent his acts become. Havers is suspicious of every man she comes across in the case. Lynley has his own thoughts about it. Again the two stick together as partners do. In fact, Lynley shows support for Havers while she suffers harsh treatment due to a previous case. Lynley also fights for control of his investigation. Expect an intense listen as George draws out the mystery with some red herrings and stomach-turning scenes.

The series is well-written and stronger than ever. George's lead characters are interesting and much more tolerable than in the beginning. Havers' popularity has grown. She's moved from grumbler to fighter. Lynley has evolved, as well. He can actually look at his former love interest and not get melancholy. Lynley and Havers are a good team.

Actor Charles Keating reads the audio book version. Keating gives an impressive reading. Remember those head-phones.
