Blind
by Jonathan Santlofer
This thriller of a book is in a new series of "Kate McKinnon" character novels. Kate, a
former cop, has moved on to a better life with her wealthy lawyer husband. Living in a
New York City apartment surrounded by works of art and wearing expensive clothes, Kate
no longer works the streets. She even has her own PBS show covering the one subject she
truly loves: art.
Everything changes for Kate when a serial killer leaves oddly painted canvases at his
crime scenes. Former cop friends of Kate's call her in to look over these paintings and
give her opinion. She is drawn in deeper when the killer learns of her involvement and
he decides that Kate might be one that could help him with his art. The sudden unexpected
death of someone close to her could be the work of this killer--or is it just a copycat
killing? Kate picks up her gun and shield once more and resolves to find this killer.
Color Blind's point of view is sometimes the killer's and sometimes Kate's.
The two points eventually collide in a heart-stopping situation. While extremely graphic
and covering some unpleasant subjects, this new Kate McKinnon mystery has a main character you'll want to read more about. Color Blind is a thrilling read. |
