Dirty
Blonde
by Lisa Scottoline
Read by Barbara Rosenblat
Cate Fante is a judge, younger than most and disliked by one who feels she’s doesn’t meet the standards of the court she
is assigned. Cate’s first trial is about a TV show and a stolen idea. The results of the case turn deadly when the defendant
and plaintiff are later found dead. One detective thinks Cate killed the defendant or had him killed. His partner doesn’t
agree. It gets worse. Cate finds her personal and professional life in shambles after a one night stand with a perverted
voyeur. Her court is filled with reporters and hecklers. And a body guard is brought in for her protection. Even her
best friend becomes a target of sorts.
Dirty Blonde is a fast paced novel full of memorable characters
and dramatic moments. Judge Cate takes center stage with her many
dilemmas. Bringing the professional and frustrated Cate to life
is narrator Barbara Rosenblat. It’s a mature listen, so remember
those headphones. Dirty Blonde is one of the best audio books
I’ve listened to in some time. Superb entertainment!
