The Garden of Eden
and Other Criminal Delights

by Faye Kellerman
Read by Dennis Boutsikaris, Nancy McKeon, John Rubinstein, Roger Rees, Lindsay Crouse, and Theodore Bikel

Faye Kellerman brings listeners a series of entertaining short stories. Before each short story, she reveals co-writers, inspiration, first publications. Most are mysteries, and all are problem-solvers. "The Garden of Eden" inspired by the author’s love of gardening and mysteries, is about a couple who make the best of receiving too much from a fellow gardening lover. It’s an inspirational story on honesty. "The Stalker" is about a woman tormented into a fearful life - expect to feel guilty at feeling satisfied by the outcome. "Malibu Dog" is about a man and his dog, but it’s not a man’s best friend storyline. There is also a story of a father teaching a daughter the importance of being a cop and another with a talking car. None are the same, but all are entertaining. Kellerman’s stories reach out to all sub-genres of mystery to entertain, and she does a successful job of it. Highly Recommended.

The audio version is narrated by Dennis Boutsikaris, Nancy McKeon, John Rubinstein, Roger Rees, Lindsay Crouse, and Theodore Bikel. Kudos to whomever thought of using various narrators. Nancy McKeon is the perfect choice for "Bull’s Eye," the story with Cindy Decker, daughter of Series character Peter Decker. Some stories are strong in content or language, so earphones are best with mixed company. An added bonus is having the titles printed on the CDs, making it easier to pick out a favorite or share a quick listen.
