The Husband

by Dean Koontz

      Dean Koontz is back!!!

The Husband adds a twist to the question: "What would you do for love?" Mitch is faced with this question when he finds out that his wife, Holly, has been kidnapped, and the kidnappers want two million dollars to get her back, without police involvement. However, Mitch is a gardener and does not have the money. What will he do in the next 60 hours in order to rescue his wife?

Mr. Koontz has brought back his solid storytelling in The Husband. He has developed a simple concept and made it so much more. The reader is interested in seeing what Mitch will do in order to help Holly. The several added twists and turns throughout just add to the entertainment. Many of these twists, one in particular, really catch the reader off guard and make them wonder how Mitch will be able to overcome the obstacles. The fact that Mr. Koontz takes a truly average person from a small town and puts him into a situation like this is really remarkable. And, of course, would a Koontz book be complete without the golden retriever?

For people who have asked questions like: Would you take a bullet for me? What would you do if...? The Husband answers one in almost the worst case scenario.
