Killer Insight
A Psychic Eye Mystery, No. 4

by Victoria Laurie

Killer Insight features Abby Cooper, professional psychic, going to Colorado after being supposedly ditched on Valentine’s Day by FBI agent/boyfriend, Dutch Rivers. The reason Abby is going to Colorado is to be a replacement bridesmaid in her friend Ellie’s wedding. While Abby is there, she helps Duffy (brother of the bride and the town’s hotty sheriff) try and figure out where the missing bride’s attendants are disappearing to... but not in time before she is in danger too. A cruddy pre-breakup Valentine’s Day present from Dutch saves the day.

Victoria Laurie’s book, Killer Insight, was spot on. I really enjoyed this fun, fast read because of the great writing style that she possesses. The storyline is fresh and the characters are so great. Abby Cooper is a not so clear minded psychic in this book of the series. She’s great at seeing other people’s futures, but when it comes to her own, her judgment is affected by what is going on in her life at the time. Then there is Duffy, with romantic potential and a great flirt, who makes the story light, and is a fun, interesting character to Abby’s more serious one. They make a great detective and psychic team while they are trying to figure out what is going on. Ultimately, the mystery was great... no early predictions came true and ultimately Abby ends up with the right man. The underlying love story in this mystery is endearing.
