The 13th Apostle
by Richard and Rachel Heller
Gil Pearson, American cybersleuth, is famous as an anti-hacker. He is tapped to translate an ancient copper
scroll that is meant to lead to a fabulous treasure. He travels Israel where he is assisted by Sabre Karaim, a
former Israeli commando and translator. The scroll contains not just a treasure map but also the truth about the
life and death of Jesus as written by the 13th Apostle, Micah. Micah was named the 13th Apostle by Jesus to
record the truths about their religion. There are rival factions trying to claim the scroll, some to destroy it
and others to preserve it in order to protect Christianity. The two travel around the globe trying to stay ahead
of their pursuers and protect the scroll.
This papal mystery is fast-paced and well done. It is also well-researched regarding the history of Jesus and
his followers. The atmosphere in Jerusalem at the Israel Museum, at the Weymouth Monastery and in London is
fraught with intrigue. The action is suspenseful and thrilling. This is yet another entry in the DaVinci Code
lists. The 13th Apostle is well worth the time to read it. |
