Catnapped
An Animal Instinct Mystery

by Gabriella Herkert

Catnapped is the cat's meow! A purr-fectly enjoyable, fun and delightful mystery novel. Gabriella Herkert is a gifted and skillful author. Her writing is fabulous, her character development sublime.

This is one of, if not THE, funniest books I've ever read. It also contains a well-developed, intriguing and multi-layered plot that keeps you laughing and guessing to the bitter end. I cannot wait until September 2008 for Gabriella Herkert's next book, Doggone, to be released.

Sara Townley is a legal investigator for the law firm of Abercroft, Hamilton, and Sterns. The law firm representing the billionaire, Stuart Masterson.

Sara's current case involves a missing heir by the name of Flash. Flash is ten years old, weighs ten pounds, is approximately twelve inches tall and is the sole beneficiary of a two-million-dollar trust left by his owner, Millicent Millinfield, who had been personal assistant to the billionaire Stuart Masterson until she met with an unfortunate accident.

Jeff Randall is the trustee in charge of Flash. His job is to physically care for the feline. Jeff lives in the guesthouse at the Masterson's estate free of charge, and not everyone is happy about that (mainly Stuart's two worthless sons, Bud and Stewie).

Morris, Sara's boss, is acting weird regarding this case and keeping the files under lock and key in his office. Morris is adamant that Flash simply wandered off, while Sara is certain he didn't leave of his own accord. With millions of dollars missing, a billionaire no one can find, a dead body, two convenient car accidents and a cat gone missing, Sara risks her job by ignoring her boss's direct order to leave it alone. She needs to find Flash to find out exactly what's going on. Besides, Flash is counting on her. This cat's up to his collar in something very dangerous.

With the help of her best friend, Russ, and her recently resurfaced husband, Connor, Sara delves into the hair balls aplenty surrounding this case. This misplaced furball has been hanging around some pretty unsavory types.

Highly Recommended.
