Damage Control

by Robert Dugoni

A novel of suspense, romance, cheating, violence, lies, domestic issues, and morals describes Damage Control by Robert Dugoni. This is a brilliant legal thriller, and I was captivated, intrigued, glued to the pages.

The hardcover package and thick book was everything it promised and more. The story begins with Dana Hill, an attorney in a prestigious law firm in Seattle, and her husband Grant.

Dana is stressed with her job, personal life, and a co-worker who is bent on removing her from the law firm. When Dana’s brother, James Hill, is murdered, Dana forgets about her life, and focuses on why her brother was murdered and finding the guilty suspect.

The legal murder mystery unfolds as Dana finds the truth in the midst of getting herself almost killed in the process. Dana meets Detective Logan, and the two of them search for the truth while fighting their attraction for each other. Of course Dana is married, but her marriage is on the edge of having marital issues.

Dana realizes that her James had a lot of secrets in his life, and she’s surprised at what she finds out about her brother in her quest to seek justice for his murder. Dana meets Elizabeth and Robert Meyer, the upper crust of society, and finds out that they are linked to James through a dangerous rendezvous.

Damage Control takes a ride into the corrupt minds of individuals and their fight for power, stepping on anyone who gets in the middle of their authority. Mr. Dugoni drew gory details, and this book made you feel that you were not just reading a book, but actually there in the process.

This is my first book by Robert Dugoni, but I am ordering another book, Jury Master, right away, because I am very impressed with such a thick package. It’s a legal crime story, and it’s worth the read until the very end. This book will surprise you, entertain, and give you an excellent read. I hated for it to end; the anticipation sent butterflies into my stomach. I give it five stars and more. I am truly impressed.
