The Devil’s Racket

by Tom Wallace

I have been wracking my brain about this review since I finished The Devil’s Racket, by Tom Wallace, and this is what I came up with: BRAVO!!!!!

Tom, I think you might have wasted some of your talent writing sports books, as this is by far the best book ever. It grabbed me from the beginning, and it held me to the end. How you came up with some of the things that you wrote about is another story in itself, and maybe you need to see someone about that! But what you have here is a winner!

Jack Dantzler is a homicide investigator, and I am sure he has seen a lot in his day, but nothing like what he is about to unravel. A neighbor of his and two of her three daughters are murdered along with a man whom no one knows. Trying to find the connection between them is what Jack will struggle with in this investigation. The leads will take him from Kentucky, where the crime happened, to New York City. What is the connection? Why is Marsha part of this, and what do her two daughters have to do with this equation? These are all questions that Jack must figure out. Who is Johnny Keno, and what is his role in all of this?

As the pieces start falling into place, the specifics about this case seem to be farther and farther apart, until one name comes into play over and over again, "Victor Sammuel." Who is he and what is his role in this?

Keep reading to discover just how twisted and convoluted this story becomes before the details unwind and the conclusion clears it all up for you! This is a book that you will want to read and pass onto your friends and family. Well done Tom, keep up the great writing!
