Drop Shot
Myron Bolitar Series, No. 2
by Harlan Coben
Read by Jonathan Marosz
Drop Shot is second in the Bolitar series. Myron Bolitar, a former jock himself, is a Harvard lawyer and
sports agent. He also loves to "play cop." In this mystery it’s all about Tennis. Tennis player Valerie Simpson
works hard to catch up with Bolitar. She’s determined to get him as her agent. Myron is representing newcomer
Duane Richwood. While watching a tournament, he hears an all too familiar sound. In the neighboring food court,
he finds Valerie Simpson shot dead. Myron thinks she may have followed him to the game. Later, when his newest
client Richwood is tied to the case, Myron plays detective. The case serves up quick wit and fast-paced scenes
for Myron - with the elite and low life both. Good thing he has a gift of survival.
Myron is a strong character. He’s confident, sensitive and intelligent. His humor is low key, and even though
he comes off as "such a guy," ladies seem to enjoy following his escapades as much as the guys.
Jonathan Marosz narrates this audio book as well as the first in series. He is Myron. It’s a superb narration.
It’s also a male-dominated world of sports, women and crime, so remember those headphones. |
