David Hiltbrand takes you on a fascinating and fun behind-the-scenes look into a reality competition television
show. I absolutely loved David Hiltbrand's sense of humor, reflected throughout this story. It has a good plot,
compelling dialog and interesting characters.
Matthew Hanes, a contestant on the talent show Star Maker, is found murdered in his hotel room. Private
Investigator Jim McNamara is hired to find Matt's killer and to ensure no other contestants are eliminated in the
same manner as Matt was.
In the talent-less procession of tone-deaf contestants, Matt Hanes really stood out. No question about it -
this kid had talent. He was a shoo-in to be this year's winner on Star Maker. He was the odds-on favorite
to win. So who decided to eliminate him, permanently, and why?
Is someone intentionally manipulating the results of this reality show? Will there be other contestants voted
off of the competition and not by the viewers' called in and calculated votes?
