Elementary My Dear Watkins
A Smart Chick/Jo Tulip Series, No. 3
by Mindy Starns Clark
Jo Tulip in her newspaper column gives advice on everything from household hints to gardening. She has been
estranged from her wealthy family, but now they must all come together to solve an old family mystery. An
inheritance set up by Jo’s grandfather has someone trying to kill her. The family is driven by profit, and Jo's
life is being threatened by one of them.
Jo's boyfriend, Danny Watkins, has the opportunity of a lifetime to film with the preeminent photographer in
the world. Danny has to travel to Europe and Africa for the job. Since Danny is away, he doesn't know what is
going on back home and so cannot help Jo.
Many will profit by her death and so want to see her dead. Jo must determine who is trying to kill her and
circumvent him (or her).
This is a well written, action packed, quick read. The story keeps the reader in suspense until in the end all
is resolved. There are moments of humor and also many expressions of faith and Christianity. |
