In the Wash

by Rebecca Benston

Rona Shively is a private investigator and some—no--most of her clients leave a bit to be desired, and if the average person would come across them on the street, they would run the other way. But not Rona; she will try to help anyone, as long as the pay is good and she doesn't get killed in the process.

A gentleman is referred to her -- I would use this term loosely -- so Rona meets with Gil Delvecchio. He gives her a story about his ex-wife Lucy and the fact that she is now a man named Luther. Rona's job is to find out what happened to him. So off Rona goes on her quest to find the missing Luther. In the meantime, Rona is almost run off the road, is being followed every time she turns around, and her best friend gets murdered. Are all of these things connected to the missing Luther? Read on to find out!

This book is a very quick read, and it will keep you guessing from start to finish. You think you have everything figured out, but in the end, you are likely to be wrong. While this book is very short in pages, it’s not short in the details that are provided. The Rona Shively Stories get 4 3/4 stars out of 5 in my book!
