Memory by Bennett Davlin is an unusually crafted debut book, which is apparent in the opening line: "He ran for his
life." In the first chapter, William Terrel runs through the Amazon jungle pursued by natives and is suddenly
captured. His fate is sealed.
And the story begins here, as doctors find his post-mortem MRI strangely unique. Dr Taylor Briggs, an Alzheimer
researcher, is unexpectedly embroiled in the mystery through his neurologist friend, Deepra Chang, when he discovers
the case findings. Briggs travels to the Amazon to gain closer access to Terrel’s mysterious death and finds he is
experiencing first-hand the powers of a miraculous drug-induced memory hallucination.
You will have to read the book to get any more information, but I can tell you it is an illuminating journey of
self-discovery and psychological thrills.
Memory is now a soon to be released major motion picture. Movies sometimes leave gaps in the story line,
so to get a jump on the theatrical performance and get a hint of what is to come, read the book before you see the
movie.
