Never Look Back
Phantom Hollow series book 2

by Kathy Herman

Never Look Back by Kathy Herman is the second book in the Phantom Hollow series. As with the first book, Ever Present Danger, this was one of the best books that I have read in a very long time. They are moving, suspenseful, and they make you try to guess the outcome, in my case, I didn’t! See if you can!

Ivy Griffin just got released from a six-month stint in jail, serving her debt to society for covering up the ten-year old murder of classmate Joe Hadley. Now she is ready to begin her life, contribute what she can to society and hopefully find love for the first time ever. But life doesn’t always work out the way we hope or plan, and there usually are many obstacles along the way. Ivy has had her share of disappointments and problems, but this time around she plans on doing it the proper way.

Rue Kessler, much like Ivy, is just getting released from rehab, in which he is trying to kick an alcohol addiction. He is trying to move on with this life and make amends for any wrongdoings due to his alcohol abuse. My Brother’s Keeper is an organization which helps recovering addicts find work and become productive members of society. It’s a Christian-based organization and Rue, having just found God again, is part of this organization. He is hired to work at the Three Peaks Christian Camp and Convention Center refurbishing old cabins.

On top of everything just mentioned, there is also a masked maniac terrorizing the locals in this small bedroom community. Pay attention to the clues and details provided throughout the book and see if you can guess the ending!

This is a book that you will love reading and my guess is, you will search for other Kathy Herman books to read!
