Under Lock and Key
(The Rona Shively Stories)

by Rebecca Benston

Under Lock and Key is the second book in Rebecca Benston’s "The Rona Shively Stories," and I enjoyed reading it. It’s a fast read, only 122 pages, but Rebecca packs a lot into those pages.

Rona Shively is a private investigator who isn’t making much money of late. She has a hard time collecting what is owed to her from her previous clients. But that doesn’t stop her from taking cases. Amazingly, all of her clients seem to have one thing in common. Now come on, I can’t tell you what that is; it will ruin the story. But when you are finished reading, think about what I just said and see if you agree. Rona takes a rather high profile case - a school teacher falls overboard and they can’t find the body. The husband is suspected, but there is no proof of foul play so they close the investigation and label it an accident... but was it?

Rodney Flynn is missing and his mother is worried. Find out what she has to be worried about.

Trey, Rona’s ex-boyfriend finally gets released from jail and comes knocking on Rona’s door. Find out what he is running from and what he and Rodney have in common.

Like I said, it’s a great little book!
