Dominic Ferrone, heir to the Scarletti family in New York, wants to take over the Maretti family territory in Miami. Nick is caught in the battle between these two Mafia families and, eventually, in the personal agenda of an ambitious Justice Department prosecutor. When Nick and Felicia become targets of a hired assassin, Nick must find the solution to ensure their survival.

This is a well written story showing how two Mafia families can affect innocent lives. The characters are well presented, with Nick Seven coming across as hard boiled but likeable and loyal. The settings and descriptions of Florida are very well written, taking the reader to these locations. There is some profanity and explicit sexual content, which may easily be skipped over to enjoy the story itself. The story is suspenseful with a twist at the end, which is an expected culmination to a fast paced adventure. There should be more Nick Seven adventures in the future.
