The Void
The Truth Chaser Book Three

by Mark Mynheir

The Void is a real page turner! With its multi-faceted plot, it holds your attention from beginning to end.

Mark Mynheir writes a great, entertaining, Christian-based suspense novel, with a lot of depth to it.

I truly enjoyed The Void and recommend it to others.

Detective Brad Worthington, following up on a lead given to him by a reliable source, decides to "snoop" around the Lifetex Labs. His source told him of the suspicious activity he'd noticed there. Brad parks his car in a parking lot down the street from Lifetex Labs and no one, not even his partner, knows where he is or why. After doing a little snooping Brad returns to his car; unfortunately he doesn't make it out of the parking lot. Detective Brad Worthington has been brutally murdered.

Agent Robbie Sanchez of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Melbourne Florida is assigned as lead officer of the investigation into Detective Worthington's murder. Because the murder happened close to Lifetex Labs, the police think that there may be some useful information on Lifetex Lab's security cameras that will aid in their investigation.

When the police go to Lifetex Labs, inquiring about their security cameras, they talk to the CEO, Warren Finstead. During the interview he acts rather strangely, answering questions that have not even been asked. This makes the police suspicious of Lifetex Labs and what they seem to be hiding.

Lifetex Labs does indeed have something to hide. They have been working on the "Genesis Project", a scientific endeavor that goes beyond cloning. They have genetically created the perfect man. The perfect human being. This will pave the way for the future world with no disease and all genetic flaws engineered out. Well, they thought they had covered all the bases but they had forgotten one vital component of the human condition - a soul, something which no man can create. Agent Robbie Sanchez, a homicide investigator and the best criminal profiler in the area, teams up with Detective Eric Casey (Brad's partner) to profile this killer, find him and get this cop killer off the streets.

With her mother's illness and this high profile case, Robbie is having a tough time seeing God in all of this craziness. But she isn't foolish enough to discount Him either.

When a dead suspect leaves more questions than answers, Robbie finds comfort in turning to God like she never has before and in spending time with Eric. Seems God is engineering some changes in Robbie's future.
