In this seventh entry in Krista Davis’ fabulous “Domestic Diva Mystery” series, Sophie Winston is involved in helping her friend Nina with the “Cupcakes and Pupcakes” event. The event will raise money to help animal shelters, a wonderful and noble cause.

Yet not everyone in town is wonderful or noble. There are enough bakeries in the area to serve everyone, but suddenly there is yet another cupcake bakery, a start-up owned by a former partner at the Sugar Baby Bakery. An underhanded move if ever there was one, the trauma of such a down and dirty trick is nothing compared to the murder of the Sugar Baby baker, Muffin.

As you might suspect, Sophie is smack in the middle of things because she and her friend Humphrey found the body, and the killer must be someone she knows. Sophie doesn’t want to crack another murder case, but really, how can she leave this one alone?

Davis paints her characters with such a fine brush that readers (well me anyway!) can picture them and actually hear their voices. You'll find drama, romance, intrigue and humor in "The Diva Frosts a Cupcake."

This is a delicious entry into a fun and fast-paced mystery series, which cozy lovers are sure to savor. Just be sure you have some cupcakes or hand, or at least the ingredients to bake some. The back of the book has some great baking tips and recipes. Enjoy!
