Molly Matthews,
who owns a bookstore aptly named “A Novel Plot,”
is planning her first annual Mystery Book Fair. The crew of
the Ashton Corners Mystery Readers and Cheese Straws Society
are all hands on deck to help.
An unwelcome
surprise is the attendance of one Ashley Dixon, a book publicist
with a certain club member has a history. The club member,
Lizzie Turner, promptly becomes suspect number one when Ashley
is killed. The mystery readers are just the right team to
dig through the clues, uncover Ashley’s past and clear
Lizzie’s name.
If you
love a good southern mystery, full of witty dialogue, characters
you would want to be friends with, and the unusual bonus of
a reading list from each of the book club members, you will
not want to miss “Book Fair and Foul.”
Erika Chase is also known as Linda Wiken,
and she owned a mystery bookstore in Canada, thus giving her
the perfect background for writing a good mystery about books!
She has a new series, written as Linda, coming out in 2015.
Berkley Prime Crime will also publish the Culinary Capers
Mysteries.
Take
it from me, the Ashton Corners series is fantastic, and if
you want a fast-paced, well-plotted summer read, Book
Fair and Foul is your ticket to a summer day’s
reading escape. Enjoy!
