Olivia
Paras’s full attention should be on the upcoming White
House State Dinner for the president of Durasi. It is very
important because the peace talks between the nations are
also being held here. Ollie is focusing on her upcoming wedding.
She and Gav have the license – but no date has been
set. They can’t get a judge to marry them for several
months. There are no openings on the docket.
Gav remembers
an old friend who just happens to be a minister. Evan Bonder
has agreed to marry them. Ollie and Gav go to see him and
end up walking in on a multiple homicide. Why is the Secret
Service involved? Ollie is again in hot water and has been
questioned several times by the Secret Service. Even Josh,
President Hyden’s young son, knows Ollie is in trouble.
Ollie had better be careful about sticking her nose into this
case, or she might not make it to the alter.
Things
to ponder: Where is Gav? Will there be a wedding? Will Josh
improve his chopping skills? Why does the Secret Service need
additional outside help?
This
is one of my favorite series. Julie Hyzy never disappoints.
There are so many twists and turns in this story that you
feel as if you are on a roller coaster. This was a fast, fun
killer read. There are some yummy recipes included in the
book. So if you like your mystery with a dash of the Secret
Service, then you should be reading Home of the Braised.
