Ten days before Thanksgiving,
Jordan Bingham has very little for which to be thankful. Her
employer, Vera Van Alst, has just fired her. No more looking
after Vera's vast book collection. Jordan has moved back to
her old room at Uncle Mick's house while Uncle Kev is her
“spy” at Vera's home. Jordan only knows that after
Vera has an unscheduled meeting with Muriel Delgato, Jordan
is out and Muriel has moved in. No one is talking. So it looks
like Jordan will be investigating this puzzle herself. Friends
Lance and Tiff seem to be MIA. As Jordan digs deeper, she
will either connect the dots or end up on the slush pile.
Things to ponder: Was Jordan fired because of Muriel Delgato?
What went down in the study between Muriel and Vera Van Alst?
Why is Lance not answering Jordan's texts? Was Jordan's accident
really just an accident - or is someone trying to kill her?
When I read A Book Collector Mystery, I am guaranteed a delicious
treat. Visiting with Jordan and her Kelly family is always
a delight. While Jordan is the only one on the right side
of the law, I wouldn't mind any of her uncles coming to my
rescue. The signora's meals are delicious works of art. Luckily,
the author has provided several recipes for us to try. This
cleverly well-plotted story soon had me turning those pages.
I had to find out what happened next. Cozy mystery readers
will eat up this newest addition to the series. I found myself
laughing out loud throughout my read. So, if you like your
mystery to revolve around books and fantastic food, then you
should be reading The Wolfe Widow.
