Mel
should be concentrating on Angie and Tate's upcoming wedding;
however, when her old college roommate, Diane Earnest, shows
up requesting breakup cupcakes be delivered to her fiancé,
what is Mel to do? When Diane sweetens the deal by calling
it even between the two of them from a long standing debt,
Mel has no choice but to bake up some caramel goodness to
break the news. Things turn from bad to worse when Mel finds
the fiancé dead in a ball pit, and Diane becomes the
number one murder suspect. Now Mel has to handle Fairytale
Cupcakes, a crazed bridezilla, a deviant old friend, and her
own feelings of jealousy to her own ruined wedding while trying
to find the murderer before her own cupcake gets smashed.
I loved
this book, it is another great add to an already delicious
series. The characters in this series are seriously the icing
on the cake. I mean, how can you go wrong with the DeLaura
clan, Angie, Mel, Tate, Dear Joe, Marty, Oz and Captain Jack?
I especially enjoyed the interactions between Mel and Joe
in this book, and have been waiting for some of these scenes
since day one. And even with Angie being the crazy bridezilla,
I love the friendship between her and Mel. I really enjoyed
the mystery aspect of this book, because I didn't get the
whodunit until it as revealed, which rarely happens to this
cozy-aholic! And can we just say, WHAT?!, to the cliffhanger
we were left with? Overall, I can't get enough of the sugary
goodness that makes up this series. I am already crushing
on the next book in the series, and can't wait to see what
happens! If you're as addicted to cupcakes as I am, then you
are going to love the recipes in the back of the book! Every
recipe listed in this series is amazing. I think a Fairytale
Cupcake Cookbook is in order!
