When the second book of
the Gourmet Popcorn Shop series starts we find Rebecca, owner
of POPS, getting ready to work with her ex-husband to feature
her shop on his TV show. And while she isn't quite sure how
she feels about her ex popping into her life, she knows that
she can't pass up the publicity that his show can bring her
shop and, in turn, her checkbook. However, when she stumbles
upon the death of his assistant and her ex husband becomes
the number one suspect, Rebecca shockingly steps up to help
Antoine clear his name.
The plot
of the story was well thought out and well written, Even though
I figured out who the killer was early on in the story, it
in no way ruined the book for me. The true stars of this series
are indeed the characters. The dialog between them pops with
humor and bite. Rebecca is a wonderfully written lead character
who jumps into investigating in a thoughtful and determined
intelligent way. You will not be sorry you picked up this
book. When you are done devouring the entertaining story,
jump to the back of the book to find the recipes and dig into
the yumminess that only popcorn can provide!
