Winnie
Johnson and the Emergency Dessert Squad is back in Silence
of the Flans. Business has been going well for the six
weeks that the ambulance has been making its emergency dessert
deliveries, that is until one of her desserts leads to a student's
demise. Now it is up to Winnie to track down the murder before
she is put out of business by the bad press, or worse, lead
to eat her own final dessert.
I simply
love the premises of this series, it has such a unique and
refreshing storyline, not to mention enough talk about desserts
to give you a toothache! The characters are enduring and fun,
especially Lovey. I just can't get enough of that feline attitude!
The mystery in this book was suspenseful and much harder for
me to figure out than most, which is always welcomed!
Overall,
Silence of the Flans is another delectable addition
to this series, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next
in this series, Dial M for Mousse! And if you're itching to
get your hand on it the same way I am, there is an excerpt
in the back of the book. If you are looking for an intriguing
mystery, go no further, you have found your book! In addition,
if you're in need of a little TLC, there are some recipes
that are sure to get your taste buds revving!
