After the death of her father, Lili Adams is devastated to learn that the controlling interest in Adam Foods, the family business, has been sold to a big corporation. Even more surprising is the man behind the big corporation, Ken Mills. One look at her handsome new "boss" and Lili finds it difficult to concentrate on the task of regaining control of the family business.
Ken shares Lili's attraction, but he's disturbed by the ongoing losses in his new store. He and Lili spend lots of time together trying to get to the bottom of the losses. But Ken can't help wondering if Lili is part of the solution or at the center of the problem.
Ms. Curry walked a fine line very nicely, managing to blend just the right amount of suspense and romance to create a thoroughly enjoyable novel.
