Eye
of the Beholder
Silhouette
Intimate Moments, 1204 (Eagle Squadron Series)
By Ingrid
Weaver
Beauty
is in the eye of the beholder. . .
Glenna
Hastings airplane is hijacked. Among the passengers, she's selected
to be held at gunpoint to be used as leverage for the capturers
ransom demands. She watches in horror as the pilot is gunned down,
and his body pushed from the high altitude of the plane. She knows
if something is not done quickly, she will be the next victim. Out
of nowhere, an ambulance appears to help the lifeless man, she recognizes
it as a diversion being used to draw attention away from an elite
military taskforce that is silently making its way to the plane.
Will they be able to go undetected or will their mission be exposed?
Master
Sergeant Rafe Merek is a member of Eagle Squadron; their specialty
is hostage situations. Their mission is to rescue the plane that
is currently being held. Rafe's attention is drawn to a beautiful
woman held at gunpoint; he knows she is in the greatest danger.
He breaks away from his team to attempt to save her from her assailant.
Meeting with resistance, he puts both of their lives in danger.
Will they be able to escape unharmed from the madmen intent on ending
their lives?
Ingrid
Weaver has written a perfect beginning to what is to turn into an
unforgettable series. Fans of SuzAnne Brockmann and Lindsey McKenna
should take serious note of this author's talent. This book held
my attention and was read in one sitting. It is overflowing with
action, adventure, and high intensity. I feel it is the best military
romance I have yet to read in 2003. Very highly recommended.
