Getting Lucky
By Susan Andersen

Zach Taylor has spent all of his grownup life as a Marine. His disciplined routine is disrupted when he meets his younger sister's roommate; Lily Morrisette. He is sure she is a gold digger out to take all she can get from his sister and him, if he allows it. The fact that she is a sexy blonde with a fetish for shoes and a heart made of gold, doesn't mean a thing to Zacke or so he keeps trying to convince himself.

Lily does not believe in rudeness, and the marine with the bad attitude does not rate more than a cursory hello and hopefully good-bye from her. She will simply ignore the macho attitude and forego the pleasure of oodling his hunk of a body. Call it hormones or plain poor judgment, Lily decides to give the man another chance to prove he is not just an over the hill jarhead with a foul mouth and kisses to die for.

When Zach's sister Glynnis is kidnapped both Lily and Zach pull together to get her back. They find that not only do they both love his sister but they also discover they can spend more than two minutes in a room without coming to blows--kisses are another thing entirely.

Ms. Anderson has absolutely earned the flag of literary pleasure with "Getting Lucky!" The passion between her characters is believable, passionate and downright humerous at times. The sexual content is hot enough to singe fingers turning the pages and romantic enough to melt the hardest heart. One of the best books I have read in a long time.
